John Drummond is an expert on business ethics and corporate responsibility. His published works include two books on business ethics: “It’s Good Business” and “Managing Business Ethics”.
He is also managing director of Integrity Works and a principal of Integrity Works Inc. These companies provided major organisations throughout the world with guidance and expertise on corporate integrity. Their corporate client list includes Shell, BT, ING Group, Akzo Nobel, TNT, Vodafone, Nestle and BG Group.
At one time, Integrity Works had designed and/or developed or been consulted on Codes of Business Ethics by almost half of the FTSE 100 companies.
Latterly, Integrity Works specialised in Boardroom Education. A proprietary, dilemma-based approach was used to inculcate agreed integrity principles across the senior management group. Senior executives were tasked to set specific training goals and strategies to ensure ethical standards were applied consistently in the corporation.
He was a board adviser to the ING Group, and provided expert input to the boards of other international companies.
Drummond is a former director of Honeywell and Midland Bank.
He is also chairman of the Constitutional Commission set up to increase understanding of the role of written constitutions in improving governance.
