Lindy Barbour is a psychotherapist and poet living in rural Lanarkshire. She teaches counselling and psychotherapy at the University of Edinburgh. She was born in Orkney and brought up in East Fife. The sea and the Scottish landscape features in her work in both poetry and psychotherapy, in which the importance of the early environment and issues of belonging and attachment are central theme
